DALLMER Rehe-Clog with half-height wedge plate (6°)
The DALLMER Rehe-Clog is a buckle-on hoofshoe which offers unshod horses in cases of acute laminitis immediate relief. The screwed-on wedge plate raises the heels to relieve the hoof, to restore its functionality and to hinder the sagging of the pedal bone (P3).
The DALLMER Rehe-Clog serves as emergency treatment. With the screwed-on wedge plate (6° or 12°) the heels get raised. The arch of the sole should be padded with an extra durable-elastic material. This is important to hinder the rotation or sagging of the P3, to stimulate the blood circulation and to reduce the strain on the deep flexor tendon.
Please note: The DALLMER Rehe-Clog is designed for treating acute laminitis, in other words for the period when the horses are unable to leave the stable. As soon as they start moving about more freely, we recommend using the glue-on DALLMER Rehe-Cuff.
